WWE has a lot of things going on right now, and they are wrapping up the new year with Undisputed Tag Team Titles. Some fans would like to see those titles split up, and there are actually some within the company who want to see that as well.
Ringside News spoke to a tenured source within the creative team, who confirmed to us that there are plans to split the Undisputed Tag Team Titles. There are also plans to keep things the way they are.
We were told that, there has been discussion of splitting up the Undisputed Tag Team Titles, “since we united them.“ Obviously, they kept the titles together since the Usos won that match against RKBro, but those titles may not stay together forever.
This seems to be a discussion within creative, but it’s nothing that fans should expect imminently. Right now, the idea is “frozen” due to the fact that there are plans to split them, and keep them together as well.
“Right now, there are both plans to do it, and not to do it. It’s an idea that’s just kind of frozen.”
The Judgment Day are the current WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions, but the tag team division is thriving on both brands. We will have to see if WWE decides that both shows need a championship representation on the tag roster. Right now, the idea is out there, but it isn’t going anywhere.
We will keep our eye on this story, and everything else under the sun in the pro wrestling world, here at Ringside News. You never know what will break next, but we will be here with the headlines.
