WWE has several top stars that have made a name for themselves in other promotions and countries, especially in Japan. The likes of Asuka, Iyo Sky and more have seen great success in WWE and many feel Giulia may join too. That said, Giulia has also expressed an interest in focusing on building up joshi wrestling but showed interest in going to an overseas promotion.

In case you didn’t know, WWE has wanted to sign top Japanese star Giulia for years. It was reported that Giulia is expected to pay visit to the WWE Performance Center. This sparked a lot of interest and fans were certainly intrigued to see what will happen next.

However, she has yet to visit the Performance Center. In the meantime, many fans are still wondering if Giulia will remain in Japan and do more for promotions there before going to WWE or any such promotion.

While speaking to Bunshun, Giulia talked about her experience working overseas before noting that she has more things she can improve when it comes to Joshi professional wrestling as a whole first. Giulia added that there are things that she can do only overseas.

“From the beginning, I had a desire to compete overseas, but I thought, “Wouldn’t it be better to raise the profile of women’s pro-wrestling in Japan first?”. Overseas is good too, but I want to do it in Japan. But the world is big, isn’t it? You can have experiences that you cannot get only in Japan. Knowledge too. I learned that by going to America to defend the title.”

“When you’re absorbing new things like now, everything is a learning experience. I want to learn more. I want to level up more. Ultimately, I hope to be able to utilize my overseas experience in order to pass it on to my juniors in women’s pro-wrestling and preserve the history.”

Giulia has not informed those in Japan whether she intends to stay with NJPW or leave for WWE. Her career in NJPW began in 2020, and she currently holds the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship as well as the Artist of Stardom Championship alongside Mai Sakurai and Thekla. It remains to be seen what will become of Giulia in the end.
