Thunder Rosa’s Lowrider Entrance on 12/23 AEW Collision Pays Tribute to Popular Film

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa made her return to in-ring action on the December 23 episode of AEW Collision. She also had a cool entrance before her in-ring return and now it appears her lowrider was actually from a famous movie.

In a tag team match with Skye Blue and Julia Hart, Thunder Rosa made a grand entrance in a lowrider, setting the stage for her upcoming bout against Abadon at AEW Worlds End. The match also previewed Julia Hart defending her TBS Championship against Abadon.

A tense exchange between Thunder Rosa and Abadon at the start foreshadowed their championship showdown. When Thunder Rosa entered the match, she wowed the crowd with her signature moves against Skye Blue and Julia Hart.

Thunder Rosa made her ring entrance in a lowrider reminiscent of the one featured in the 1997 film “Selena.” This car, famously seen in a scene where Selena’s tour bus breaks down, added a unique touch to Thunder Rosa’s entrance.

While it’s unconfirmed whether it’s the exact car from the film, the ‘Selena car’ is known to make appearances at San Antonio car shows. This lends credence to the possibility that it is either the genuine car or a close replica used by Thunder Rosa for her entrance. Regardless, Thunder Rosa would win her first match in over a year and fans were simply happy for her.
