AEW lost a few people in 2023, and Dana Massie is the latest to leave the company. Now, her husband, AEW EVP Matt Jackson, is speaking on his wife’s departure.
Dana Massie, Matt Jackson’s wife, has been with the company since they opened their doors. She took on the role over the company’s merchandise, as she was over The Young Bucks’ empire prior to their AEW days.
Matt Jackson logged onto Instagram, where he dropped a story with a photo of his wife. He also included a caption that thanked her for everything that she did for AEW.
End of an era. You were in the first conversations, when this was all only an idea. One of the main builders of our empire. Always positive in at times was a thankless job. Glad you got to do it all, and leave on your terms, by your own choices. It’s been fun working with you. See you at dinner.
Matt Jackson also made a point to say that he will see his wife at dinner. They are still happily married, but she just decided that it was time to get off the AEW train.
We previously reported that Rafael Morffi is expected to leave the company at the end of the year as well. He already has a new gig lined up as he has accepted a senior executive position with the Barclays Center.
We will have to see who AEW gets to fill in for Dana Massie. She brought a lot of skills to the table, and she also learned a lot along the way. Only time will tell what she does next in life, but she is always a mother and wife at home.
