Chris Jericho is an undisputed veteran of professional wrestling, having dedicated over three decades of his life to the sport. His extensive experience has undoubtedly given him a keen sense of his own worth within the industry. While he is a major star in AEW, some believe that he will still retire in WWE.
Prior to joining AEW, Chris Jericho had competed in nearly every major professional wrestling company, including WCW, WWE, and NJPW, among others. He particularly gained widespread recognition and acclaim during his tenure in WWE.
Chris Jericho joined AEW in January 2019 following his departure from WWE in 2018 and subsequent return to NJPW. That being said, fans wonder if he will ever return to WWE again.
Chris Jericho previously stated that WWE is ‘not the place to be’ and that he has no intention of returning to WWE. While speaking during Keepin’ it 100, former WCW star Konnan stated that he believes Jericho could return to WWE when his AEW deal expires in 2025 and retire in WWE.
“I gotta [sic] think that there’s maybe a part of Jericho that’s like, ‘Hey, after I’ve done my thing here I would love to,’ probably, ‘Retire in WWE.”’
Vince McMahon also wanted Chris Jericho to get out of his AEW contract. Regardless, Chris Jericho is more than happy working in AEW, as he is more focused on creating a legacy for himself in the company and nothing more.
