WWE brought a taped episode of SmackDown before Christmas. They still included some notable moments for the December 22nd episode. Now, we are getting a look at how the viewership turned out.
According to Programming Insider, the December 22nd episode of WWE NXT brought an overnight average of 2.01 viewers, with a .50 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This number was down from the previous week’s average.
This week’s episode of SmackDown saw AJ Styles vs Solo Sikoa in the main event. Although it was pre-taped, the night still included some interesting moments, including a big tease for AOP’s return.
The December 15th episode of WWE SmackDown drew an overnight viewership of 2.154 million, with 667k of those in the 18 to 49 demographic. That number was down slightly from last week’s number.
The December 8th episode of WWE SmackDown drew 2.29 million viewers, with a .57 in the 18 to 49 demographic. The December 1st episode of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 1.952 million viewers, with a .53 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This number was up significantly from the previous week’s average on FS1.
The November 24th episode of WWE SmackDown drew 789,000 viewers, with a .24 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This number was down from the last week’s average, but they were also on FS1 that week, but even that average was low for their FS1 viewership.
We will have to see how WWE books the blue brand from this point on. They certainly brought quite a show this week, and there is no off-season in WWE. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more!
