CJ Perry spent several years of her career in WWE as a manager before breaking out as a singles competitor towards the last year of her time in the company. She is now in AEW but her run got plagued due to a nasty infection, for which she needed surgery. Now Perry explained how she got infected in the first place.

CJ Perry was slated to be at CMLL representing Andrade El Idolo, but she had to miss out on that show as well as the 16th December episode of AEW Collision due to a severe infection on her finger, which worried fans.

Her infection worsened, which is why CJ Perry had to undergo emergency surgery to save her finger. CJ Perry also underwent successful surgery after the infection – bringing relief to fans.

The former WWE Superstar then revealed how she contracted the infection in the first place. Perry took to her Instagram and uploaded several photos and a video of her vomiting in the hospital, where Perry revealed that doctors managed to catch the infection in time before it spread to her bones and nerves. Perry then added that she is finally going home after her ordeal.

“After 120 hours of being in the hospital they finally caught the severe infection that was hitting my nervous system. The doctors said they caught the infection before it hit my organs and bones. The doctors had to remove the infection by cutting open my finger and draining the infection out. I will be having an open wound and heavy duty IV antibiotics to keep the infection out.

Going home.”

This was certainly a harrowing experience for CJ Perry in every way and fans are simply glad she was able to overcome such adversity and will now be able to go back home. We’ll have to wait and see when CJ Perry will be able to make her AEW television return.
