WWE NXT is currently getting beefed up with new talent. Previously, the black-and-gold brand signed the 23-year-old amateur collegiate wrestler Copeland Barbee into their ranks, who is likely to spend some months at the WWE Performance Center before making an in-ring debut. Now, NXT has bagged a former NWA Women’s Tag Team Champion.
As per a report from PWInsider, Madi Wrenkowski (Madison Domblowski) signed a deal with WWE NXT. This means that the developmental brand is still serving as an entry point for some seasoned talent to find their way into WWE. Wrenowski originated in Texas and is popular for some of her AEW appearances.
Wrenkowski is also rather fresh in the scene, having debuted back in 2019 at Mission Pro Wrestling. In her first match, she lost against Jazz, who is a former WWE Women’s Champion. Apart from the NWA Women’s Tag Team title, she has also been the MPW Tag Team Champion alongside Rache Chanel and the River City Wrestling Women’s Champion.
Apart from amateur talent and seasoned professionals, WWE has also reached out to fourth-generation talent. The son of iconic pro wrestler David Finlay, Brogan, has recently signed a deal with NXT as well. This is significant, as apart from enriching the role, Finlay will continue his family legacy as a pro wrestler.
Prior to joining WWE NXT, Finlay made an appearance at the WWE Performance Center earlier this year for a tryout. Given his family legacy, his deal was highly anticipated.
