Jim Ross is a WWE Hall of Famer and was the voice of several generations of fans, as he gave decades of his life to the business. Good ol’ JR has been with AEW since day one and is taking a break right now due to health issues. Now his next appearance has been revealed.
It was previously reported that Jim Ross’ contract would be expiring soon. That is why Ross and Tony Khan started negotiations for possible contract renewal. Ross then made it clear he is optimistic about re-signing with the company.
It was then made clear Jim Ross would be on a hiatus due to his health issues and he has been giving updates on his health since then. Ross recently made it clear he wasn’t sure about when he would return to AEW.
While speaking during the AEW Control Center for this week’s Dynamite, Tony Schiavone confirmed that good ol’ JR will be present for tonight’s Dynamite, which will be taking place in Oklahoma City.
”Come join us for some great action, the continental classic and more, including welcoming back JR. That’s right, Jim Ross will be with us, tonight, Oklahoma City. We’ll celebrate the holidays with JR and have some great action.”
This is certainly great news for fans who were sorely missing Jim Ross and his usual wise-cracking self. It remains to be seen whether his appearance means he will be present at AEW Worlds End, which was his original goal.
