AEW Star Sets Sights on Facing The Iron Claw’s Zac Efron in the Ring

Hollywood actor Zac Efron and his co-star Jeremy Allen White have expressed their interest in wrestling following their roles in “The Iron Claw.”

Efron and White are open to the idea of participating in a wrestling match if they have enough time to prepare. Kip Sabian, an AEW star, responded to their interest and expressed his desire to face Efron in a one-on-one match.

Sabian took to Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning to respond to a tweet summarizing Efron and White’s statements on “The Masked Man Show.” Sabian suggested that the long-awaited “prophecy” could finally be fulfilled and urged AEW to arrange a match between him and Zac Efron. As of now, neither Efron nor AEW has responded to Sabian’s request.

A potential match between Sabian and Efron would add another connection between “The Iron Claw” and AEW. The film also features AEW World Champion MJF and occasional AEW star Ryan Nemeth in significant roles. Furthermore, Kevin Von Erich, a wrestling legend, made appearances on AEW and Ring of Honor shows recently, accompanying his sons, Marshall and Ross Von Erich, to victory in their respective matches.

For Sabian, a match against Efron could provide the boost he needs, as he has experienced a string of losses in both ROH and AEW throughout 2023. Sabian’s most recent AEW match resulted in defeat when he faced AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo on the December 2 episode of AEW Collision.
