TNA is in the middle of a major shift, as the company will no longer be known as Impact Wrestling going forward. Due to this, the company has been busy hiring fresh talent as a way to prepare for the future. The company also set aside a budget for signing a major free agent next year.
TNA is set to return at the Hard to Kill event on January 13th, 2024 and in preparation for their upcoming change in just over a month. Naturally, fans are excited for all the upcoming changes as well.
As previously reported, TNA Wrestling teased a monumental signing at their Hard to Kill pay-per-view. Unsurprisingly, this made fans wonder whether they were going to sign an ex-WWE star.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted TNA has set aside a budget so that they can actually sign a major free agent next year. He speculated that Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, and Matt Riddle could be the next top signing.
“Impact does have, from what I gather, earmarked some money to where they can spend some money on a big free agent. Whether they would or could outbid AEW, I mean, it’s doubtful they could, but you don’t know how much Tony [Khan] would be willing to spend on one of those names. And there’s other names on the list, but I don’t think any of the other names are big enough to warrant what Scott said. So those are the obvious choices. I don’t think there’s anyone whose WWE contract is coming due who hasn’t either resigned or and again.”
TNA Wrestling has already gotten new female announcement as part of their rebranding efforts. We will have to wait and see who will end up becoming the major signing for TNA at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view next month.
