WWE has several people in NXT who are on the cusp of greatness and becoming breakout stars. This includes Trick Williams, who truly came into his own on NXT. That said, Williams finally addressed his incredibly short reign as the NXT North American Champion.

At the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event, Trick Williams pinned Mysterio to become the new NXT North American Champion. This led to Rhea Ripley giving Dominik Mysterio an ultimatum to win the title back on NXT this week.

That is exactly what happened as Dominik Mysterio defeated Trick Williams with some help from The Judgment Day in order to become a 2-time NXT North American Champion. Therefore, he just got just three days as the NXT North American Champion.

While speaking on WWE Die Woche, Trick Williams addressed his incredibly short reign as the NXT North American Champion. Williams took it all in stride, stating that he felt honored that he got the opportunity to win gold from Dominik Mysterio.

“Oh, what greater accomplishment than get your first title off of the heat magnet of the WWE? The most punchable face in all of WWE.

Man, you know, that was the best three days of my life. I ain’t gonna lie (laughs).”

Trick Williams has bigger goals in mind now as he will challenge for Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 2, 2024. It remains to be seen how he will fare in the match.

What do you think of what Trick Williams said? Do you feel WWE should have made him have a longer run? Let us know in the comments!
