Top Dolla Unveils Life-Saving Revelation Behind Botched Dive

It did not take Top Dolla too long before he understood how things went about in WWE, but he never really managed to get himself over as much as the company would have liked. WWE ended up releasing him back in September and now Dolla revealed how his infamous botch saved his life.

On the December 16, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown, Hit Row squared off against Legado Del Fantasma and Viking Raiders in a triple threat match. During the contest, Top Dolla tried to perform the leaping plancha. However, he badly botched the move and had a tumble to the outside.

This made Top Dolla the subject of ridicule not only among fans but WWE as well. This is despite the fact that Top Dolla proved he could perform that move properly. The dive turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him as well.

On the 1 year anniversary of the botched dive, Top Dolla commented on a video of the botch and revealed that the dive allowed him to go see a doctor, where he discovered that he had Type II diabetes and his blood sugar was 626. He almost lost his life and both of his legs, therefore the botch saved his life.

”The botch saved my life. I made that dive a dozen times before, legs felt off but I didn’t think about it. After I failed I went to the doc & found out I had Type II diabetes & my blood sugar was 626.

I almost lost my life & was about to lose both feet. The botch saved my life.”

Top Dolla’s first post-WWE appearance has also been revealed. It is good to know that something as unfortunate as that botch ended up saving Dolla’s life and that is what matters to him now.
