WWE SmackDown Results (12/15/2023):

The opening package for the show airs.

Roman Reigns’ music hits and he walks to the ring with the Bloodline. Roman starts by asking the crowd to acknowledge him. He asks the crowd to shut up. He says he’s here to celebrate. Reigns says it’s promotion season. He says when someone’s doing good, he’ll let them know. He says tonight is about one man. He says this man understands what it’s like to keep this family on top of the mountain. he says he’s the next in line if anything happens to him.

He says this man is the next Tribal Chief, he asks him to join him in congratulating Solo Sikoa. Roman hugs Solo Sikoa and tells him he loves him. Randy Orton’s music plays and he walks out.

*Commercial break*

Randy says for 18 months he’s been thinking about what he was going to say but the only thing he needs to says to him is that he’s coming for him. He says he is going to take everything away from him. Orton says it starts tonight and it ends at the Royal Rumble because he is challenging him for the WWE Championship.

Roman says he hasn’t thought about him at all. He says Orton doesn’t deserve this opportunity because he hasn’t done anything to earn it. Roman asks him to get to the back of the line. He says he is levels above him and everybody else. He says if he has a match with Reigns, he won’t ever come back.

Orton says he can see Reigns has changed and evolved for the better. He says Reigns is now a legend. He says he has changed too but he will always be a legend killer. He goes for the RKO on Reigns but he escapes. Orton says maybe he should start thinking about him. He says the voices in his head just told him that Roman might’ve crapped his pants. He then says Daddy’s back.

United States Championship Tournament: Grayson Waller vs. Carmelo Hayes

Grayson Waller’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Carmelo Hayes’ theme song plays and he comes down to the ring.

The match starts and Hayes knocks down Waller with a dropkick. Hayes attacks Waller in the corner. Waller comes back and knocks down Hayes. Waller hits him with a hurricanrana. Hayes with the fadeaway. Waller rolls out of the ring. Hayes with a springboard torpedo. He knocks Waller out of the ring.

*Commercial break*

Waller hits the flat liner. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out. Hayes comes back and hits Waller with the pump kick. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out. Waller climbs the second rope but is knocked down. Waller plants Hayes. Hayes superkicks Waller. He follows it with a springboard DDT. Cover! 1….2…kick out. He hits the first 48 and then climbs the top rope and hits the nothing but net for the win.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

Orton runs into LA Knight. Orton says he doesn’t need his help. Knight says they how the numbers work. Orton says they picked up a win last week so they’re good so let’s keep it that way and he asks him to stay out of his way. Knight says he is the one who is going to take everything away from Roman Reigns.

United States Championship Tournament: Kevin Owens vs. Austin Theory

Kevin Owens’ music hits and he walks to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Austin Theory’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

The match begins and Owens knocks down Theory. He goes to work on him. Owens knocks Theory down and hits a senton. Theory rolls out of the ring. Owens knocks Theory off the apron and hits a cannonball. Owens sends him into the ring. Owens climbs the top rope but Theory rolls out of the ring.

Theory comes back with a dropkick. Owens rolls to the apron. Theory hits a neckbreaker on the apron.

*Commercial break*

Owens hits a frog splash on Theory. Cover! 1….2…kick out. Owens goes for a Swanton bomb but Theory gets his knees up. Cover! 1….2…kick out. Owens stomps away on Theory. He hits the DDT on Theory. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Theory plants Owens with a Spanish fly. Owens hits the superplex off the top rope. Theory rolls out of the ring.

Theory knocks Owens into the timekeeper’s area. Owens gets back into the ring but Theory hits the blockbuster. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Theory is set in the tree of woe and Owens hits the cannonball on him. He then climbs the top rope and hits the Swanton bomb. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out.

Theory attacks the broken hand. He stomps the injured arm. Owens attacks Theory with the cast for the win.

Winner: Austin Theory

Bloodline is backstage. Reigns says Orton ruined Solo’s moment. He says somebody has to shut his mouth. Jimmy Uso says he can silence Orton but it’s time for a job for the Tribal heir. Reigns says if Jimmy can handle Orton alone, then he could ask for anything. Jimmy says yeet and Roman stares at him.

*Commercial break*

A video package of Karrion Kross where he says this place is about to be recycled. He says everything was set into motion as soon as he stepped through the door. He says this is a new beginning and everything is about to crumble.

Kevin Owens runs into Cameron Grimes who says he wishes he could’ve punched Theory. Kayla Braxton interviews Owens who says he was like Hayes. Hayes walks in and says he has a ton of respect for him but he needs this win more than him and he is not going to punch him in the face.

Bayley is backstage with Damage CTRL and she says she created the group to be the dominant faction. She says she knew IYO was talented enough to become Women’s Champion. IYO says no one will stop her. She says with the Kabuki Warrior they are stronger than ever. Asuka says no one is ready for them. Bayley says it is time for them to win all the gold. She says the Kabuki Warriors will challenge for the tag titles and she will enter and win the Royal Rumble, then she will defeat Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship.

Kabuki Warriors vs. Michin & Zelina Vega

The Kabuki Warrior’s music plays and they come out but Michin and Zelina Vega attack them.

*Commercial break*

Sane attacks Michin in the corner. She then hits a flying forearm. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Asuka tags in and attacks Michin. Asuka knocks down Michin. Cover! 1….2…..kick out. Asuka hits Michin with a clothesline. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out.

Michin comes back with a suplex. Sane tags in. Michin also tags out. Vega attacks Sane in the corner. Vega hits a DDT. Vega goes for the 619 but Sane escapes and hits her with a backfist. Asuka tags in and locks in the Asuka lock. Vega gets out of it and tags out. Michin headbutts Asuka and slams Asuka. Cover! 1…..2…kick out.

Vega sends Sane out of the ring. Sane slams Vega on the announcer’s table. Michin kicks Asuka. She climbs the top rope. Dakota Kai distracts the referee and Bayley knocks Asuka off the top rope. Sane tags in and hits the Insane elbow for the win.

Winners: Kabuki Warriors

Jimmy Uso is backstage about Solo Sikoa. He says Reigns and Heyman have been talking for a long time. He says it feels like a setup. He asks him whether Solo would inform him if something would happen to him. Solo says he is his brother.

Bobby Lashley is backstage with Street Profits. He says Logan Paul is the United States Championship and now they have this tournament with a bunch of people Paul thinks he can beat except him. Ford says Santos can’t beat Lashley. Lashley also says that Santos is standing in his way.

Randy Orton vs. Jimmy Uso

Randy Orton’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Jimmy Uso’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

The match starts and Orton attacks Jimmy who leaves the ring.

*Commercial break*

Orton slams Jimmy on the announcer’s desk. He sends him into the ring. Orton attacks Jimmy in the corner. Orton kicks Jimmy. Jimmy comes back with an enzuigiri. He attacks Orton in the corner. Cover! 1…..2….kick out. Jimmy attacks Orton in the corner but Orton pokes him in the eye. Orton goes for the draping DDT but Jimmy sends him out of the ring.

*Commercial break*

Orton hits a couple of clotheslines and a powerslam. Orton then hits the draping DDT. Solo Sikoa’s music plays and he walks out. LA Knight’s music plays and he comes out and attacks Sikoa. Orton hits the RKO on Jimmy Uso for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

Roman Reigns attacks LA Knight from behind. Reigns and Orton brawl in the ring. Jimmy attacks him from behind. LA Knight attacks Jimmy but Solo attacks him from behind. AJ Styles’ music plays and AJ Styles hits the phenomenal forearm on Reigns. He attacks Jimmy and Solo. Knight sends Jimmy out of the ring. AJ Styles attacks Knight from behind with a clothesline. He then walks away
