WWE has been switching up the roster as of late. While several talents were released earlier this year from the company, key figures such as CM Punk have also touched home base to elevate the roster. Currently, the WWE roster is stacked with big names. Now, a report suggests that Roman Reign, who is currently one of the biggest stars in WWE, could see a change in plans for his WrestleMania match.

As per Sescoops, Reigns is still scheduled for WrestleMania, but things may be subject to change. According to one of their sources, Roman Reigns main event at WrestleMania may be subject to change.

“Even Roman’s main event can change if circumstances dictate. Will they dictate? Most likely not. But until it’s locked in, it’s not locked in.”

Ringside News exclusively reported back in October that WWE had firmly established plans for Roman Reigns in next year’s WrestleMania event, and not even The Rock’s potential return for the show seemed capable of altering those plans. However, it now appears that CM Punk’s addition to the roster might have the potential to influence these plans if WWE decides to make adjustments down the line.

The return of CM Punk could play a factor in this if Reigns were to see fluctuations in the initial plan. Punk is already the favorite to win the 2024 Royal Rumble, and with The Rock also in discussions for WrestleMania, it’s reasonable to assume that creative direction might prioritize The Rock over Reigns. Consequently, Reigns could find himself excluded from a significant event following WrestleMania.

As per the latest WWE Backlash poster, many speculate that Roman Reigns will not be participating in the event. The poster features the likes of Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Randy Orton, and Becky Lynch. However, Reigns is missing from it, and usually, he’s one of the main catches of promotions before any event. It wouldn’t be the first time WWE will organize a premium event with The Tribal Chief present.

WWE Backlash is set to take place in France’s LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines on Saturday, May 4th. A day before the event, WWE SmackDown will broadcast from France for the first time in the LDLC Arena.

Roman Reigns’ intermittent appearances have already caused a stir in WWE. Recently, Seth Rollins threw shade at him for his prolonged absence from WWE, suggesting that he would be a better Universal Champion as he is always regular. Moreover, Baron Corbin thinks it’s high time for him to challenge Reigns for a title shot.
