Umaga tragically passed away on December 4th, 2009, years before his time was really supposed to be up. His legacy is being carried on by his son Zilla Fatu, who ended up leaving Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling earlier this year. Now Fatu was spotted backstage at AEW Dynamite, where he meet many people including Tony Khan.
Outside WWE, there are quite a few members of the Anoa’i family that are successful in pro wrestling. Zilla Fatu joined Booker T’s wrestling school Reality of Wrestling back in December last year.
Booker T would then confirm that Zilla Fatu parted ways with the promotion, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Fatu would then express his disappointment at the departure as well.
It has been a while since Zilla Fatu left the wrestling school. Fatu took to Twitter and uploaded photos of himself backstage at this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where he met the likes of AEW President Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Nick Wayne and other stars. He certainly seemed to have a good time there.
The Usos perviously stated that they believe Zilla Fatu would be the next Bloodline member to make their way to WWE. Only time will tell what Zilla Fatu will end up doing as we approach 2024.
