Carmelo Hayes Begins #JusticeForMelo Campaign After 12/12 WWE NXT Attack

WWE has several people in NXT who are on the cusp of greatness and becoming breakout stars. This includes Trick Williams, who truly came into his own on NXT. He is involved in a storyline with Carmelo Hayes as well. That said, Carmelo Hayes was attacked on NXT this week – leading to him starting a #JusticeForMelo campaign.

Trick Williams was attacked on NXT television a couple of months ago and the storyline suggested someone close to him was the attacker. All signs pointed towards Carmelo Hayes, but there was no conclusive proof about him being the attacker. This is despite Hayes displaying actions that hinted at attacking Williams.

During this week’s episode of NXT, Carmelo Hayes got in between Trick Williams and Ilja Dragunov, which ended with Hayes accidentally hit Williams with the NXT Championship. That’s not all that happened as Carmelo Hayes was mysteriously attacked backstage during the show.

In light of both events, Carmelo Hayes took to Twitter and made it clear he isn’t the attacker and started his own #JusticeForMelo campaign. This definitely made fans feel odd as they questioned why he dropped the #JusticeForTrick campaign.

“Say what you want, but why would I lie when I have nothing to lose and nothing to gain. #WWENXT #JusticeForMelo”

Speculation about the identity of Trick Williams’ attacker revealed an interesting name as well. We will have to wait and see who will end up being revealed as Trick Williams’ attacker, as all signs point towards one person according to fans – Carmelo Hayes.
