The wrestling industry is on the brink of a significant shakeup as a wave of free agents emerges following WWE’s talent cuts back in September.
Several notable names, including Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, and Matt Riddle, have become free agents, making them hot commodities on the wrestling market.
The talent cuts were a result of the merger between WWE and UFC into TKO, stemming from the acquisition of the Endeavor Group. As a result, WWE released a substantial number of wrestlers from both the main roster and NXT.
While most NXT stars are subject to 30-day non-compete clauses, some main roster stars were working in NXT and had to wait out 90-day non-compete clauses along with the rest of the main roster stars from Raw and SmackDown.
On December 21, the following names will be free to sign with any wrestling promotion of their choosing:
The availability of these talented individuals is sure to create excitement and speculation among wrestling fans and within the wrestling industry. It remains to be seen where these free agents will land and how they will contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of professional wrestling.
