Get ready, folks, because the wrestling world is about to experience a free-agent frenzy like never before in 2024! Some of the biggest names in the squared circle are stepping into the contract battleground, and it’s gonna be a rumble!
Here’s the rundown of the who’s who in the impending free-agent class of 2024:
But that’s not all! There’s another big name hanging in the balance, and he’s currently wearing the World Heavyweight Champion crown – none other than the “Monday Night Messiah” himself, Seth Rollins!
According to Fightful Select, Rollins’ contract is set to expire in June 2024, and as of a couple of weeks ago, there haven’t been any talks about an extension. Seth Rollins is no small fry in WWE; he’s respected and well-liked within the company, and the word on the street is that an offer will undoubtedly be on the table sooner or later. WWE sources even dropped a hint that Rollins might be a top priority.
“Fightful has learned that Rollins’ in June of 2024, and as of a couple of weeks ago, there haven’t been discussions regarding a contract extension. As you can imagine by his placement on the card, Rollins is well-liked and respected within the company, and we’re told that there will “obviously” be an offer made at some point, with WWE sources even indicating that he’d be made a priority.”
When they asked a WWE official about it, they didn’t dispute the contract info and confirmed that Rollins would be a priority. Translation: They want to keep this guy in the fold!
“When asking a WWE official, we were told “we would not dispute that information” as it pertains to his contract being up next year, and that Rollins would be made a priority.”
Now, here’s the kicker: Back in 2019, WWE locked in a bunch of talents to long-term, five-year deals when AEW burst onto the scene. These deals are all set to expire in 2024, but we’re not sure if Rollins was part of that bunch.
Fightful didn’t waste any time and reached out to Rollins for the scoop, but as of now, they’re still waiting for that call. As things stand, both Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are looking at their WWE deals expiring in June.
Hold onto your folding chairs, wrestling fans, because the drama is about to hit the ring, and we can’t wait to see how this all unfolds!
