CM Punk’s return at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event has already greatly increased WWE’s stock considering the records he broke after his return. Fans were sad to see him leave AEW, but many feel it was the best thing for both parties. Now Ace Steel has finally commented on CM Punk returning to WWE after almost a decade.
Ace Steel was fired from AEW when he was a part of Brawl Out last year, where he allegedly bit Kenny Omega on the arm during the brawl. He was brought back and had been working remotely following Punk’s return as well. He got fired again shortly after CM Punk’s AEW firing as well.
While speaking on the Wrestling with Rip Rogers podcast, Ace Steel talked about CM Punk finally returning to WWE after so many years. Steel stated that he was very proud of The Second City Saint.
“I’m very proud of my number one student that I’ve ever coached in the world for heading back to show the world who the f*** he is… The reason people hate him or whatever is he’s not about the bulls***, and the guy doesn’t take s***, and he doesn’t take it lightly. And when you’ve had enough s***, you either explode, or you take care of business yourself, and you defend yourself.”
Ace Steel also recently made a nostalgic post about CM Punk recently that definitely caught fans attention. Regardless, only time will tell whether Ace Steel will join CM Punk in WWE in the future, as that might be his next destination somewhere down the line.
