CM Punk came back at Survivor Series and shocked the entire world, as he made it clear he has a lot of major plans in the company. Surprisingly enough, Punk even appeared at the NXT Deadlline Premium Live Event. Now the actual reason for Punk’s return has been unveiled.
CM Punk made a surprise entrance at WWE NXT Deadline on Saturday night, where he opened the show and had a brief segment with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels in order to get the crowd hyped for the rest of the show.
That was not all as he even had a wholesome interaction with Cora Jace backstage. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about CM Punk’s appearance at NXT Deadline. Meltzer noted that the appearance had no purpose and it was done to grab eyeballs for the show as well as the fac that NXT Deadline was going head-to-head against AEW Collision.
”It was very clear that they didn’t have a purpose for this. They really wanted to get Punk on the show for, you know, eyeballs on the show and the fact that they are going head-to-head with Collision. So he was there, but not any purpose or anything.”
CM Punk will also reveal his brand of choice on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We will have to wait and see what The Second City Saint will have to say on the red brand next week.
