Red Velvet recently made her return to in-ring competition on the November 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, facing Julia Hart in a singles match. This marked Velvet’s first in-ring appearance since February 1 on AEW Dynamite when she competed against Jade Cargill for the AEW TBS Title, ending in a loss. She confirmed her injury hiatus as well recently.

During her hiatus, Velvet dealt with a knee injury, as confirmed during an appearance on Pope’s Point of View with Elijah Burke. She revealed that the injury kept her out of action for nine months, almost a full year. However, she expressed gratitude for her successful comeback, which began on November 8 in Portland.

Describing it as a “comeback tour,” Red Velvet continued to compete, securing a solid win against Ruby Soho on the November 10 episode of AEW Rampage.

Recently, as everyone has seen, I just came back from a knee injury that had me off for nine months, almost a total of a year gone. I made my come back on November 8 in Portland. It didn’t stop there, I went back to back to back, I call it the comeback tour. it didn’t stop there, it went on and on. It was a great high of coming back and I’m so grateful.”

Despite her return to the ring, Velvet faced another setback on the November 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, where she lost to Skye Blue. Velvet hasn’t been featured on AEW television since then, so it remains to be seen when she will return.
