Brock Lesnar is a multi-time World Champion who dominated the world of professional wrestling and combat sports. Lesnar’s legitimacy can never come into question, but even he wasn’t immune to botches during his career. In fact, Randy Orton disclosed an awkward botch Lesnar had during their first meet.

Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar both started out in Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2000, alongside John Cena and Batista. Orton arrived during the early months of 2000 while Lesnar arrived a few months later.

While speaking on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Randy Orton talked about the first time he met Brock Lesnar at Ohio Valley Wrestling. Orton noted the importance of getting one’s arm over the top when running the ropes, which Lesnar didn’t do. This led to an awkward botch where Brock Lesnar leapt out of the ring and took out twenty metal chairs.

“Oh yeah, oh yeah. I remember the day he [Lesnar] came to OVW… We were all like, what the f**k? So we’re all talking s**t, under our breath, and here he comes. And back then there wasn’t [a Performance Center], we had one ring in a s****y warehouse, and there was like twelve of us. So here comes Lesnar, we knew he was coming… we get in practice, we start doing the rope running drills, where you just burn, you just go, and he didn’t hook the top rope.

As I’m sure you’ve been told – make sure to get the arm over that top rope, or you’re going to end up in the bleachers. And sure enough, that m**********r… He leapt out of the ring between the second and third rope, and took out like twenty metal chairs. And then he just popped up, dusted himself off, and was like, ‘[laughs] I bet y’all would like to see that again. [laughs] We were like, ‘That’s cool… do your thing.’ You know?”

As previously reported, Brock Lesnar’s WWE return is already in place for next year. We will have to wait and see how the Beast Incarnate will be booked once he makes his triumphant return to WWE television.
