Jey Uso made his return during WWE Payback after he ‘quit Smackdown’, much to the delight of fans. He then made his way to Monday Night RAW and has since been booked very strongly. He popularized ‘yeet’ as his catchphrase but now he will have to abandon it due to legal issues.
WWE and Jey Uso have been using ‘yeet’ a lot after Uso left The Bloodline, even getting the fans involved in a big way. That said, any mention of the word was censored on RAW this week. According to WrestleVotes, WWE has been forced to abandon the term due to trademark issues.
This is because Kasey Huffman, a pro wrestler from West Virginia, has owned the trademark to the word since 2021. Huffman owns the trademark to the phrase “Yeet” – something that WWE feels they can’t dispute over.
