AEW star Satnam Singh recently spoke about his in-ring absence and the ongoing discussions with wrestling veterans like Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, and Sonjay Dutt to plan his next steps in the company.
While Satnam Singh has been a part of AEW, he hasn’t been seen in action on AEW TV for some time. His last appearance was during the All Out Zero Hour pre-show in September, where he teamed up with Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett in a Trios Championship match.
Singh confirmed during an interview with Sportskeeda that he’s currently taking a break, citing the need to figure out a compelling storyline amidst a crowded roster of over 300 wrestlers and multiple weekly shows. He mentioned that discussions are ongoing with his colleagues and mentors, and they are working on the best way to reintroduce him into the AEW fold.
“We have to try to figure out the story. There are so many wrestlers over there right now. It’s almost like over 300 wrestlers, so we try to put everything together.
“We have like four shows in a week. Wednesday, we have Dynamite, Rampage, then we have Saturdays, Collision, (ROH). So we have a lot of shows going on.
“So I talk to Sonjay and I talk to Jeff Jarrett and also Jay Lethal, so what’s the story? What’s going on? So I think when I come back from India to here, we are going to start back on the road…now we are talking (a) break.”
Satnam Singh’s dedication to honing his craft is evident, with his 20 matches in AEW since signing with the promotion in September 2021. As he continues his journey in the world of professional wrestling, fans can look forward to his return and the exciting stories that lie ahead.
