Jeff Hardy’s year has been eventful, to say the left. It was marked by his surprise return to Dynamite in April. He had been absent from action due to a DUI arrest, during which he underwent rehab as a requirement for his return.

Upon coming back, he became part of an extended storyline involving his brother Matt and Isiah Kassidy (later known as Brother Zay after a visit to the Hardy Compound), facing off against The Firm. Despite his return to AEW, he was still in recovery from eye surgery, and his participation in “The Firm Deletion” at the Hardy Compound was restricted.

Jeff Hardy recently appeared as a guest on the 100th episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast. During the conversation, they touched upon various subjects, including their frustrations with their booking in the past four months. Jeff also shared his ongoing struggles with double vision, even after undergoing surgery.

“My biggest challenge has been the eye surgery I had back in March, the double vision, so that’s still my biggest fear. I can see where I need to see. The double vision is still there. For example, leaning back in bed and trying to watch TV. Even looking at the camera now, it’s doubling up on me a little bit. But to the left, it’s where it all started. It’s pretty much gone, so I can see where I need to in the wrestling ring. I just need to do more matches. More matches like tonight where I’m actually excited to go out there and perform.”

On the November 29th edition of Dynamite, The Hardys and Brother Zay squared off against Top Flight and Action Andretti. This marked Dante Martin’s return to the ring after an 8-month injury hiatus. Unfortunately, The Hardys and Zay faced defeat in the match.

We will keep our eye on this story, and so many more, in the pro wrestling world. Only time will tell what Jeff Hardy is able to do in AEW. He still wants that tag team title run with his brother, after all.
