Pro wrestling fans are very hard to please, and Ric Flair knows that all too well. He also realizes that there have been some criticism of his most recent run in AEW. Now, he has offered to quit, as if there is no other option.
Ric Flair and Sting were on hand for AEW Dynamite this week, as they announced the location of Sting’s final match at AEW Revolution. It was revealed that AEW Revolution will go down on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024. The event will also go down in the historic Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Ric Flair logged onto X, and he dropped a heartfelt post for fans. He read the negativity about joining AEW, and he offered to walk away from the whole thing.
I Am So Tired Of Hearing All This Negativity! I Don’t Need To Work, And I Don’t Need The Money. Can’t I Simply Enjoy Being By My Dear Friend
@Sting’s Side For The Next Few Months Without So Much Hatred? I Know I’m Old, But That Doesn’t Mean I Can’t Enjoy Life! I Have Earned The Right To Do Whatever I Want & I’m Exactly Where I Want To Be! I Appreciate Everything
@TonyKhan, But I’m More Than Willing To Walk Away If I Am Embarrassing You And Your Company. All I Can Say Is I’m Sorry!
Miro saw the slew of tweets that Ric Flair’s post received. He then dropped a supportive line for the Nature Boy to let him know that he has support, and that he should stop buying into the negativity.
Stop reading the dirt sheets. They are poison and they do not represent the fans.
We will have to see if Ric Flair really quits AEW. He doesn’t need the money, but he signed with Tony Khan for many reasons. One of those reasons may have been because he wanted to be there for Sting during the twilight of his career.
Only time will tell what is in the future. Pro wrestling cans will continue with their tribal insistence, but it appears that there will still be lights on social media like the Redeemer.
