CM Punk’s return at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event sent shockwaves across the world of professional wrestling thanks to its sheer electricity. He would then cut a promo on RAW right after that and intrigue fans in a big way. Now it appears UFC President Dana White had a lot of good things to say about CM Punk.
A lot of things took place during this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, as new storylines were being built up. CM Punk also closed out the show with his first WWE promo in almost 10 years, where he spoke his mind about numerous things.
Following his WWE departure in 2014, CM Punk would go on to compete in the UFC on two occasions, where he lost both fights.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Dana White stated that CM Punk was one of the easiest people he ever worked with, adding that he gave him his full blessings for Punk’s WWE run.
“He’s one of the easiest people I’ve ever dealt with,” Dana White said. “I’ve had nothing but a great relationship with him since the day we met.
“I texted him that night after he walked out in Chicago,” said White. “It was amazing. I texted and congratulated him, it was incredible.
Do I give my blessing?” said White. “100 percent. I love the guy.”
WWE is also internally pushing for a CM Punk dream match at WrestleMania 40. CM Punk’s first major feud will be with a familiar foe. It remains to be seen how he will be booked in the coming months.
