Corey Graves is one of the best commentators in WWE right now, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t keep tabs on what goes on in companies such as AEW. In fact, Graves named a failed WWE faction in response to a segment on Dynamite this week.
The November 29th episode of AEW Dynamite had a lot of things going for it. This included MJF’s where he talked about his world title match at Worlds End against Samoa Joe. He was then attacked by four men in black hoodies emblazoned with the ‘devil’ mask on their backs.
MJF and Joe eventually thwarted their offence as they ran away. After a commercial break, Tony Schiavone on commentary noted that AEW IT had determined that someone broke into the lighting and video aspect of the show in order to have just pulled off that segment.
Corey Graves took to Twitter and reacted to the segment as he mentioned the failed WWE faction Retribution, which was eerily similar to what’s been going on with the Devil, complete with masked men and taking over aspects of the show.
”Retribution?”
We will have to wait and see how AEW will continue to book MJF and The Devil’s storyline in the coming weeks. After all, fans just want to know who the man under the mask is.
What’s your opinion on what Corey Graves said? Do you think The Devil storyline will have a proper payoff? Sound off in the comments section below!
