Johnny Gargano was once the face of NXT, and he wrestled a lot for the brand. He had multiple runs in the brand, and put in a lot of work on television as well. Now, all of those matches have added up to equal history for Johnny Wrestling.

This week’s episode of WWE NXT will see Wes Lee vs. Cameron Grimes vs. Bronson Reed vs. Johnny Gargano go down. That is a four-way #1 contender match for Dominik Mysterio’s NXT North American Title.
Johnny Gargano posted on X to let fans know that this match will mark his 105th match for the NXT brand. He will make history with that match, which is “pretty wild” for him to see.
I’ve also been told that this will be my record setting 105th @WWENXT TV match. The most in NXT History.
Pretty wild. See y’all tonight!
Johnny Gargano is still a WWE main roster Superstar. He is featured on WWE RAW as 1/2 of Team #DIY alongside Tommaso Ciampa, but Gargano was still able to make a stop by NXT this week to make history.
We will have to see what 2024 has in store for Johnny Gargano. He certainly did a lot in 2023, and it seems like he’s not done with this year yet. He’s the first-ever NXT North American Champion, and now he’s adding another notch in his belt.
