CM Punk’s return to WWE at Survivor Series marked one of the biggest surprises in WWE history. Since he has a track record of confrontation and controversy, there are also concerns about how Punk will be handled. The Second City Savior closed out WWE RAW this week, and he had a chance to speak his mind a bit. It appears that he was in a good mood as well.
CM Punk appeared on WWE television last night, concluding the post-Survivor Series episode of RAW with a heartfelt promo marking his return to the company after nearly 10 years away. The atmosphere surrounding his return was generally positive.
Backstage, reports indicate that CM Punk displayed a “very nice” and “humble” demeanor throughout the evening. This is seen as a promising sign for The Straight Edge Superstar, as he mentioned in his promo that he has undergone a transformation.
According to Wade Keller of PW Torch, CM Punk was “in a good mood” and made an effort to interact with everyone. One wrestler acknowledged the importance of his humility, considering his previously contentious relationship with WWE and, most recently, All Elite Wrestling.
“Everything seemed pretty positive all around, but we’ll see in a couple months if it sticks.”
We will have to see what CM Punk does next in WWE. He seems to be in a good mood right now, but only time will tell if things change for him. WWE and CM Punk are certainly in a honeymoon phase right now, but all signs point to them having a lot more in the future.
We will keep an eye on this story, and so many more, right here at Ringside News. You never know what will break next, especially when CM Punk is a part of the conversation.
