CM Punk’s return to WWE at Survivor Series sent shockwaves through the wrestling world, and one man who had made a bold retirement promise found himself adding a twist to that vow.
Ryback, known for his controversial statements, had previously declared that he would retire for good if CM Punk ever returned to WWE. However, when Punk’s epic comeback became a reality, Ryback quickly changed his tune and refused to retire.
Now, in a surprising turn of events, Ryback has laid down a new condition for his pro wrestling retirement. Taking to X/Twitter, he stated that he would retire if CM Punk’s WWE run lasted longer than six months:
“I give it 6 months max. If I’m wrong I will retire. @FMMNutrition”
It’s worth noting that CM Punk signed a long-term deal with WWE just before the Survivor Series Premium Live Event, and he is also scheduled to make an appearance on RAW next week.
As the wrestling world eagerly awaits the outcome of this bold challenge, we’ll have to see whether Ryback will indeed hang up his boots for good if he’s proven wrong.
