The last premium live event of the year for WWE is taking place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. While there’s talk about CM Punk’s possible return, you never really know what WWE will do at the big show, because R-Truth returned.
Ringside News has complete coverage of the entire Survivor Series event. There are a ton of headlines for the show, but we have compiled them all in one place for you.
It was previously reported that WWE was considering running an angle where Randy Orton wasn’t at the Survivor Series event. They ran that story, claiming that Orton wasn’t at the Allstate Arena yet. They actually started the match without Orton coming out.
Cody Rhodes entered the match last for the babyface team. During the actual match, Seth Rollins even shoved Rhodes and asked, “is he coming?!” After all, the match started and no Randy Orton was in sight.
Dominik Mysterio was the final Judgment Day member to enter the match, but there was nobody else in the babyface shark cage to join the match and even things up. The Judgment Day destroyed the babyfaces, as Damian Priest put Seth Rollins through a table with a Razor’s Edge.
The timer kept ticking down, but nobody was in the other shark cage to come out. Rhea Ripley ran out with the Money in the Bank briefcase, and she was about to cash-in for Damian Priest. Suddenly, just as fans thought that nobody would come out to join the babyface team for WarGames, Randy Orton’s music broke out.
Randy Orton made his return to the ring, and the Chicago crowd popped in a big way when he came out. The Viper’s entrance in the match officially kicked off the WarGames match. Needless to say, it was a big moment in the Windy City.
