AEW is presenting AEW Collision and Rampage against WWE Survivor Series, and they also presented a title change to draw even more attention. Although many fans are expecting to see CM Punk at WWE Survivor Series, it appears that he also got his name mentioned on AEW programming.
Ringside News has complete coverage of AEW Collision, and the show started off with a surprising moment. The ROH Pure Title was on the line, and now there is a new champion. There is a lot more to talk about, because Malakai Black gave his good friend CM Punk a mention. Adam Copeland’s first title match in AEW was also set.
After sustaining a significant ankle injury in March, Dante Martin officially declared his return on Saturday’s AEW Collision. The Top Flight tag team member joined a backstage segment where his brother, Darius, and Action Andretti were discussing their eight-month-long partnership. Andretti mentioned AEW’s upcoming event in Darius’ hometown this Wednesday, prompting Darius to sense that something was amiss.
Dante then entered the scene, exchanged fist bumps with both men, and, following Darius’ declaration that they were prepared to take flight, Dante simply stated, “I’m back.” While a return match for Dynamite in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was not announced, it’s worth noting that the Martins were part of a multi-team match for the vacant ROH Tag Team titles at March’s Supercard of Honor. During that event, the 24-year-old Dante executed a Canadian Destroyer maneuver on a stack of tables outside the ring, resulting in his foot turning sideways upon hitting the floor.
