CM Punk was fired from AEW, but he was fired from WWE years before that. With Survivor Series coming up in Chicago, it appears that the CM Punk references are heavier than ever, even if fans have to really stretch things.
Ringside News provided complete coverage of WWE SmackDown this week. They did a lot to build toward Survivor Series, where WarGames will bring a lot of action to Chicago.
Ringside News was able to exclusively reported that a tenured member of the team told us, “There is no interest in CM Punk. The damage he did to AEW was as bad as what Vince Russo did to WCW.“ Still, fans are seeing signs of CM Punk’s return to the company. Still, if there is a way to spin a CM Punk tease nowadays, fans will see it.
During WWE SmackDown this week, Corey Graves said something very interesting. He had a very interesting way of speaking about Kevin Owens.
“Kevin Owens became a monster to fight the monsters of the world”
Some observant fans, who have very good memories, will remember those lines from a classic CM Punk promo. This was called out and shared all over the internet wrestling community.
For what it’s worth, Triple H has privately commented on how fans have seen CM Punk teases when there are none. That won’t stop fans from connecting the dots, even if there are no dots at all.
There is honestly a better chance that CM Punk will end up in NJPW or TNA Wrestling. That being said, fans are still spotting the teases whenever he can.
