Bryan Danielson hasn’t had the best luck with injuries in recent memory. The former leader of the Yes Movement in WWE suffered a broken orbital bone just a short time after he returned from an arm fracture thanks to Kazuchika Okada at WrestleDream. Danielson is booked to compete in the Continental Classic, and AEW All In London as well, but he isn’t cleared to travel just yet.
In the ‘Blue League’ of the AEW Continental Classic, only 4 out of the 6 wrestlers will compete on Collision. Announced matches include Eddie Kingston vs. Brody King and Claudio Castagnoli vs. Daniel Garcia. However, the match between Andrade el Idolo and Bryan Danielson, which would complete the trio of matches for the block, was not scheduled.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that, as of last week, Danielson was still awaiting clearance for his flight, which explains his absence from the lineup. It’s expected that the match will take place on the December 2nd episode of Collision.
Castagnoli vs Garcia and Kingston vs. King were announced for the 11/24 Collision show. It would appear Danielson vs. Andrade would likely be on 12/2 in Erie, PA but that hasn’t been announced. Danielson as of last week was still awaiting clearance to fly so he wasn’t debuting on the first Collision night.
Bryan Danielson had to pull out of WrestleCade as well. He couldn’t make that kind of cross-country trip in his current state. That, and AEW needs him to heal up at home, because they have plans to use him in their round-robin tournament.
