AEW brought Dynamite to fans on the day before Thanksgiving. They taped for ROH after the broadcast, as they do every week. This time around, an injury stopped a match in its tracks.
Ringside News provided complete coverage of AEW Dynamite this week. It was quite a show as the presented the aftermath following Full Gear.
PW Insider reports that during tonight’s Ring of Honor TV tapings in Chicago, Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal secured a victory over Griff Garrison and Cole Karter. That being said, things did not go 100% according to plan.
The match took an unexpected turn when Matt Sydal executed a twisting splash on Cole Karter, causing him to land on his face and the back of his head to hit the canvas, resulting in a potential concussion. Daniels and referee Paul Turner quickly realized the issue and summoned ringside doctor Doc Sampson, known for his past work with WWE, to assess Karter’s condition. Consequently, the match was concluded with the ringing of the bell.
It was reported that, “Karter took a long time to get out of the ring but finally walked out. Daniels took the mic and put over Karter. He said it was a dangerous sport and while they wanted to win, they didn’t want to win that way.” That article also noted that this was an “apparent concussion.”
We’re hoping for the best in this situation. Concussions are never a good thing, especially in pro wrestling. We will keep our eye on this story for more updates, right here at Ringside News.
