Following the November 22, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite, ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard had some strong words to share about his position since the downfall of the JAS faction.

In the episode, Menard, Angelo Parker, and Jake Hager faced off against Orange Cassidy, Katsuyori Shibata, and HOOK. Unfortunately for Menard’s team, they didn’t come out on top. The match even saw a surprise appearance by Danhausen, who cursed Hager.

In the aftermath of the match, Daddy Magic took to social media to express his thoughts, and it’s clear that he isn’t pleased with how things have been going. In fact, he seems to be quitting the faction.

In the Twitter post, Menard reflected on the match, the decline of JAS, and the consequences of their decisions:

“Who knows what happened out there tonight? Who knows? What’s happened for the last six months? That’s what I want to know.”

“You know, we left Chris Jericho in August, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. You know the balls, the balls, that it took to leave that man. You guys know the story, he gave me everything, everything. But at some point, at some point in everybody’s life, in everybody’s career, you realize you’ve reached a ceiling.”

“You have to make a move… so that’s what we did. That’s what we did. But, I thought I was in a team with men. I thought I was in a team with a bunch of men. But, it’s dead. I find out that I’ve got one guy, a guy who wants to run around and b*tch…””You have to make a move… so that’s what we did. That’s what we did. But, I thought I was in a team with men. I thought I was in a team with a bunch of men. But, it’s dead. I find out that I’ve got one guy, a guy who wants to run around and b*tch…”

Clearly, Menard is not happy with how things went in the match and in AEW since leaving Jericho. He then turned his attention to Angelo Parker:

“And… we’ve got Angelo Parker, my friend… he’s running around like he’s never seen a woman in his life, like he’s never kissed a girl. Like his first time. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Do you think I have this kind of time to waste? Do you?

“Look me in the eyes. Everyone on that team, everybody, do you think I have this time to waste? Run around kissing girls, run around dancing. I got a two-year-old son at home who depends on me to come home every week. Okay? I can’t let that boy down.”

Menard and Parker had a tough time in the match, ending up on the receiving end of double submissions from Shibata and HOOK. Later in the show, they accompanied Anna Jay to the ring, but Parker seemed more focused on Ruby Soho than helping Jay. The situation in AEW appears to be heating up, and Menard’s frustration is clear.

How do you feel about Matt Menard’s frustration and potential departure from the JAS faction in AEW? Do you think this storyline will lead to significant developments in the future?
