On the November 17th, 2023 episode of WWE SmackDown, Axiom showed up, and he surprised a lot of people. That being said, WWE apparently gave him that spot at the last minute.

Ringside News provided detailed coverage of WWE SmackDown’s November 17th episode, which had some surprising moments. During this week’s WWE SmackDown, it was revealed that the next episode will be broadcast on FS1, but odds are Axiom won’t be on the show.

Axiom, previously known as A-Kid during his time in NXT UK, made his debut on the main roster with NXT. He adopted a new persona and wore a mask for his debut on SmackDown this week, where he engaged in an impressive contest against Dragon Lee. Prior to the match, a promotional video introduced Axiom, and the commentary team provided insight into his background, highlighting his origins in Madrid, Spain.

NXT’s Axiom competed but faced defeat at the hands of Dragon Lee. Axiom’s standing within WWE has raised questions, prompting Mike Johnson of PW Insider noted that Axiom was a last-minute replacement.

“Axiom’s appearance on Smackdown last week was a literal last minute decision, PWInsider.com has learned. We are told that the WWE NXT star was booked for the taping the morning of Smackdown last week. As of today, he is still listed with WWE NXT internally.”

It was not noted who was originally slated to face Dragon Lee, but Axiom certainly put on an amazing performance. He also surprised a lot of fans who may not have seen him wrestle before.

Axiom’s spot on the main roster was a one-week only thing this time around. Odds are, he will light up the main roster soon enough, especially if he can keep up that kind of performance.
