Corey Graves and Carmella’s baby arrived, and he got some time off. In the meantime, the company still has a weekly show to produce, so some great people have filled in so far. Kevin Owens and Road Dogg have taken on the role so far, and both of them did a fantastic job, raved by fans, and Road Dogg had a pretty good time as well.
Kevin Owens, on the other hand, he didn’t do as well. The first hour and forty-five minutes was amazing, but he was taken out near the end of the show. Actually, he took out Grayson Waller and Austin Theory by beating them down after they antagonized him at ringside, but it still resulted in KO’s suspension.
In the most recent episode of the YouTube exclusive show Oh…You Didn’t Know Road Dogg addressed questions and comments from the audience. One viewer made a humorous comment, jokingly expressing their desire for an unexpected incident involving Road Dogg during his commentary duties.
“You don’t know that I didn’t. You don’t know that I didn’t. I’d have said it on the air. But i don’t know, I just wee’ed before I went out there, and thank goodness I didn’t have to poo. Sometimes you go for a wee, it turns into a poo. I learned that from Bluey.”
A different viewer inquired about Road Dogg’s presence on commentary, and he clarified that he was filling in for Corey Graves, who was absent. Road Dogg, a WWE Hall of Famer, mentioned that this commentary stint was a one-time occurrence. Co-host Casio Kid expressed his desire to see Road Dogg have more creative freedom, feeling that WWE had a tight grip on him and wanted to witness his full potential in action.
“Yeah, I wanted to eat a little bit myself, but I get it. I wasn’t there to take away from the product. I wasn’t there to get myself over or try to. It wasn’t about me. We’re going into a PLE, Survivor Series, so it was important to analyze more so than do color commentary. So I felt like I did okay. I got my first time over with, and I loved it, man. I would do… it’s hard with stuff in your ear. Those guys doing those reads and stuff was crazy to me. I was just sitting there listening to them, thinking, ‘Thank god I don’t have to read that.'”
We will have to see if Road Dogg need to step in on commentary in the future. Corey Graves certainly deserves the break after he and Carmella welcomed a son into the world. Hopefully, he will be back soon, and well-rested, but that may be difficult with a newborn in the house.
