WWE has one more night of RAW left before Survivor Series takes over Chicago’s Allstate Arena. That will be a big night for the company, and now we know how the red brand will kick things off this week.
One week following his alignment with The Judgment Day, Drew McIntyre will initiate WWE Raw’s proceedings. WWE has confirmed that McIntyre will commence tonight’s episode of Raw, which serves as the go-home show leading up to Survivor Series. His appearance is scheduled to involve an address regarding his actions from the previous week.
In the prior week’s main event, Drew McIntyre played a pivotal role in Damian Priest and Finn Balor’s retention of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. McIntyre executed a Claymore kick on Uso, facilitating Balor’s subsequent pin. It was subsequently revealed that McIntyre’s transition to a heel persona stemmed from an arrangement with Rhea Ripley. As McIntyre made his way up the ramp, he encountered Ripley on the stage, where they exchanged handshakes.
Prior to his heel turn, Drew McIntyre had been portraying a tweener character and had declined multiple offers from The Judgment Day to align with them. His recent loss to World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel played a part in his character transformation.
The Survivor Series men’s WarGames match is currently announced to feature a lineup of Rhodes, Uso, Rollins, and Sami Zayn against Priest, Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh. The possibility of McIntyre joining The Judgment Day’s team for the event remains to be seen and might be addressed on tonight’s show.
Survivor Series is scheduled to take place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, this Saturday. During tonight’s Raw, one member from each team will compete in a men’s WarGames advantage match.
