WWE has a ton of great talent in NXT, and Axiom had a chance to show the main roster what he was hiding in developmental. That being said, it didn’t solidify his call-up
Ringside News provided detailed coverage of WWE SmackDown’s November 17th episode, which had some surprising moments. During this week’s WWE SmackDown, it was revealed that the next episode will be broadcast on FS1, but odds are Axiom won’t be on the show.
Axiom, formerly known as A-Kid in NXT UK, transitioned to NXT with a new persona and mask. His highly anticipated main roster debut occurred on SmackDown this week, where he faced off against Dragon Lee in an exciting match. Before the bout, a promotional video introduced Axiom, and the commentary team spoke highly of him. They also shared some background, noting his origin in Madrid, Spain.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Axiom’s SmackDown debut was not meant to be his main roster call-up. That wasn’t official, but he still turned some heads.
“Regarding Axiom we weren’t told that he’s been given an official call-up.”
Dragon Lee emerged victorious in that match on SmackDown against Axiom, and there was no confirmation of Axiom’s official call-up. They mentioned Shawn Michaels being proud of Axiom’s performance.
The future will reveal whether this marks Axiom’s permanent move to WWE’s main roster, and he seems well-prepared for the larger stage. Keep checking back for more developments on this story as they unfold.
