AEW brought Full Gear to the Kia Forum. Naturally, given the location of the California event, celebrities were likely to be in attendance, and Ric Flair couldn’t miss the show.
Ringside News provided full coverage of AEW Full Gear. It was quite a show, and there was no shortage of talking points throughout the event.
Ric Flair surprised the pro wrestling world when he showed up in AEW. It was said that he would be ringside during Sting, Adam Copeland, and Darby Allin’s match, and he didn’t disappoint.
AEW Full Gear kicked off with Darby Allin, Sting, and Adam Copeland versus Christian Cage, Luchasaurua, and Nick Wayne. The former Edge rocked face paint during that match, but it was one man at ringside who really drew attention.
Steve-O was even at ringside for this match. It was quite a way to open the show. Steve-O actually name-dropped Darby Allin’s name during a recent podcast. He made it sound like Darby may be a bridge to reunite him with Bam Margera. Darby Allin is obviously connected, and that certainly helped get Steve-O to Full Gear.
Ric Flair also got physical for the first time in AEW. This went down when Christian Cage nailed him with a low blow at ringside to take him out of the match. By the the, Ric Flair was back on his feet for the babyface team’s big win.
We will have to see if AEW sees any more Ric Flair action. In the meantime, it seems that he is going to have quite a ride in All Elite Wrestling.
