Bobby Lashley, two-time WWE Champion, is a highly regarded figure in the company. He is also a legitimate badass and is always up for a fight. He was left off the WrestleMania 39 card and Lashley admitted that being off the card hit him hard.

Lashley had been feuding with Bray Wyatt a few weeks before WrestleMania 39, in a feud that no one really wanted to see. The feud never progressed as Wyatt was out of action due to health issues and he would ultimately pass away on August 24th this year.

While speaking on After the Bell, The Almighty talked about his return to WWE television and not being a part of WrestleMania 39. He admitted that being off the card hit him hard, especially because his children expected ot see him at the Premium Live Event.

Our business is very troubling at times and it’s very stressful, mentally. Because you want to know where you’re at. And if you’re talking about the last break I took… the situation involving WrestleMania kind of really, really hit me pretty hard. I’d put in a lot of work throughout the year. I put myself on a certain level within the company and I’ve kept that level up. I work my ass off and I train hard all the time. And everybody knows that’s just me.

And when that big show came around, I just didn’t have a spot at WrestleMania. You try and hold it in and when you have your kids calling when you’re supposed to be there. And I’m there in Los Angeles ready to go. The whole time you’re thinking ‘Call me in coach! Call me in coach! Call me in, call me in. I’m ready!

My kids, after the first day, called me. ‘Dad are you going to be on it? Because if you’re on we’ll fly up and see you’ and everything like that. Because they’ve been to everything that I was in. So that was a little bit of a mind trip, taking a backseat at a time like that.”

Bobby Lashley is set to square off against Carlito on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. We will have to wait and see whether The Almighty will pick up the win tonight.
