WWE’s biggest show of the year, WrestleMania, always brings a ton of attention. The television shows around the showcase of the immortals are also known to be big nights of pro wrestling. It appears that next year’s WrestleMania week events will have a bit of a different look.
Fans can anticipate a distinctive presentation of events during WrestleMania 40 weekend next year, as WWE is set to hold shows at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. This weekend stands as the pinnacle of the wrestling calendar, encompassing WWE Raw, NXT Stand & Deliver, and SmackDown, alongside various wrestling events in the surrounding area. Additionally, conventions provide opportunities for fans to meet former wrestling stars and legends.
WWE’s schedule for the weekend includes Friday Night SmackDown, coupled with the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 5th. The festivities continue the following day with NXT Stand & Deliver and culminate on Monday, April 8th, with Monday Night Raw. Tickets for these events are scheduled to go on sale this Friday, with pre-sale options available earlier. Notably, the ticket maps for the shows indicate that WWE intends to open the arena to full capacity.
WrestleTix noted a departure from the norm will be the absence of the customary stage sets that viewers are accustomed to seeing on a weekly basis. Instead, the shows will feature a smaller tunnel setup reminiscent of past events like Backlash. This decision, while foregoing the grandiose sets, allows for a greater number of fans to attend and partake in the WrestleMania weekend experience.
We will have to see what WWE books for those shows, because anything is possible at this point. With the company’s recent merger with the UFC, it’s always possible that WWE is trying something out, because UFC events don’t have elaborate entrance set-ups.
