AEW inked a new deal with SEGA, and that will result in some interesting programming. We already have the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight coming up, but that match remains a mystery for many people, including one very bit competitor in the match itself.

Paul Wight has remained absent from the wrestling ring since his last appearance at the AEW Dark: Elevation taping on March 30th, 2022. This extended hiatus from in-ring competition, spanning over a year, has garnered considerable anticipation from fans eagerly awaiting his return.

The much-anticipated comeback is slated to occur on the November 15th, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite. Wight will join forces with Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Kota Ibushi. Together, they will take on The Don Callis Family, consisting of Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs. This clash of wrestling titans is scheduled to unfold in a Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight, adding an element of excitement and intrigue to the forthcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.

As wrestling fans await Paul Wight’s long-awaited return to in-ring competition, the stage is set for a memorable showdown, promising an action-packed and unforgettable wrestling spectacle on the horizon. That doesn’t necessarily clear up what a Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight actually is.

Although the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight is getting some attention, and a bit of press, for AEW, the rules are unclear. Paul Wight spoke to TMZ about this and he had to admit that he has no idea what the rules are for that upcoming gimmick match.

“Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight. Yeah, don’t ask me what that involves. I just know it sounds like there’ll be a lot of carnage and a lot of bodies flying everywhere, so just another day at the office.”

“I am excited. To be honest with you, I’m nervous. I think that’s part of the draw or the magic of doing what we do is that anticipation, that adrenaline rush of performing in front of a crowd and wanting to put on a good show, an exciting show, and that’s a hard fix to get anywhere else. You have to adjust your expectations on what you’re doing as things mature. Because when you’re younger, it’s kind of about you. They’re building you. Well, I’m built. So now it’s my chance to give back to other talent and help younger talent establish themselves and hopefully become household names at some point.”

The Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight could be a very interesting experience for AEW fans, and Paul Wight will be along for the ride, even though he is in the match. AEW has introduced some extreme gimmick matches for fans in the past, so it’s anyone’s guess what the rules will be for the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight.

Paul Wight has been involved in many gimmick matches, cages, and outside the ring. Only time will tell what kind of match he’s able to add to his resume, because the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight could be interesting.
