Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso both established themselves as prominent figures in WWE, and they haven’t always seen things eye-to-eye. Although their team is relatively new, the two have still gained a lot of attention in the process.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso’s last match saw them team up to take on Judgment Day, setting the stage for an anticipated WarGames confrontation at the upcoming Survivor Series premium live event on November 25th. Throughout their partnership, Rhodes and Uso, who are two contrasting personalities in theory, secured the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles but later lost them, including their rematch against the formidable Damian Priest and Finn Balor.

In their most recent main-event showdown on the November 13th episode of RAW, the challengers executed their joint finishing move, a blend of The Usos’ finisher and Cody Cutter, a maneuver that Rhodes has effectively employed throughout his career. Nevertheless, Bully Ray, who initially supported Jimmy and Jey’s 1D, suggests that the duo should consider shelving this signature move.

During Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray brought up Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso’s tandem move. The WWE Hall of Famer also expressed that he doesn’t want to see them do that move again.

“Cody and Jey need to stop doing that bootleg 1D, they have to stop doing it. It has not gone well for them once … it’s not a little off, it’s always off. When a move goes wrong, it looks bad for the people doing the offensive move, because it makes you look like you don’t know how to do your own move. I would probably take that and get rid of it out of the repertoire.”

As the babyface duo fell short in their quest to regain championship glory on RAW, Bully Ray also emphasized his belief that Rhodes should transition back into singles competition as the year winds down, potentially leading to another WrestleMania world title bout against Roman Reigns in April next year. Obviously, that is a very likely possibility at this point, because he hasn’t finished his story yet.

We will have to see if Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso ever circle back around to the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Titles. They had a fun little run, one that fans may not forget about any time soon. Right now, they have WarGames in their future at Survivor Series on November 25th.
