WWE is always trying to ensure each and every episode of their mainline weekly shows hit the mark, but that doesn’t always happen. This week’s RAW was no exception, as a former WWE writer missed a particular segment on RAW for being high school stuff.

This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW had several implications for the WarGames match at Survivor Series on November 25th. Therefore, there were quite a few backstage segments focused on that.

That wasn’t all as the show featured a comedic segment between the Alpha Academy, The New Day and The Creed Brothers. It saw Akira Tozawa copying The New Day’s pose while holding a title.

While speaking on the Legion of RAW podcast with Dr. Chris Featherstone, former WWE writer Vince Russo criticized every segment on the show, giving special criticism for Alpha Academy – dismissing the segment for being similar to high school shenanigans.

“This is high school stuff; this is high school play. Wait till we get to the ones, that one with all those tag teams. Oh My God! Like, how can you put your name on that and put that on TV, bro. That was god awful!”

None of the tag teams in the segment seem to have any proper direction right now, which is why such criticism is warranted. Regardless, only time will tell whether Monday Night RAW will improve their segments as we head towards Survivor Series.
