Cody Rhodes is well aware that there is a lot on his shoulders. Right now, he has WarGames ahead of him on November 25th in Chicago at Survivor Series. That is only the first of many big tests ahead of him, and The American Nightmare realizes that.

Cody Rhodes’ WWE return was met with a fantastic push. He still stands tall as a WWE fan-favorite, and top merchandise seller, to this day.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Cody Rhodes discussed his views on the wrestling events scheduled for 2024. Rhodes conveyed his determination to enhance his performance with each ring appearance and to sustain this development despite any challenges.

“I’m being honest, in a sense, that I don’t know how to feel about WrestleMania 39 until I get where I’d like to get. You [Mark Henry] know this more than anybody, it’s a long road to get back. I’ve been saying — you can catch me under my breath sometimes when I’m out there in the ring on ‘Raw’ or at SummerSlam — I’ve been saying, ‘We’re on our way, we’re on our way.’ I even went as far as to say when other people think it might be somebody else, it’s always been me. But the truth is those are just words. WrestleMania season, Royal Rumble season, WarGames ahead of us, that could be the hard times. That could be the most arduous path I’ve been on, so I just have focused on it.”

“I definitely appreciate your perspective from looking outside in on me, I focused on it show to show and just kind of the Cena model of, ‘Are we improving every outing, are they more into it every outing,’ and that’s been my goal.”

Cody Rhodes is in for a busy few months ahead of him, but he seems ready for it. As Ringside News previously reported, WWE has a plan in place for WrestleMania’s main event. It turns out that they have more than just one match slotted into the showcase of the immortals.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “things can change, and that’s something to note,” but Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes has always been the “obvious direction” for WrestleMania 40. It was also noted that this has been the “theory since before their match at WrestleMania 39.”

Cody Rhodes lost to Roman Reigns last year at WrestleMania 39, and that was a shocking move for many fans. Rhodes did not get to “finish his story,” and he made a point after Mania to say that a new story has started. That being said, he can always circle back around to finish what he never completed with the Tribal Chief.

We will have to see how things pan out, but this situation looks very good for Cody Rhodes as he makes his way to WrestleMania 40. It will be quite a ride, and we will be here with every headline along the way.
