WWE likes to promote their Superstars in the best way possible, and that includes making their accomplishments known. One former World Champion was working on quite a streak, but that suddenly ended on Saturday night.
WWE live events often bring unexpected developments, and the recent one in Johnson City, TN, was no exception, as a former champion’s impressive undefeated streak came to a close. This comes as Drew McIntyre had a rematch with Seth Rollins.
The wrestler in question is Drew McIntyre, who made his return to action at Saturday’s house show following his departure from RAW earlier in the week. The Scottish Warrior faced Seth Rollins in a World Heavyweight Championship rematch from the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, but was unable to secure the title once again.
This loss marked McIntyre’s first defeat in a singles match on the live event in 490 days, with his previous loss dating back to July 9th, 2022, when he was defeated by Roman Reigns. Of course, McIntyre has lost on television, with the most recent example being WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4th.
Recently, Drew McIntyre has shown a different side of his character, engaging in conversations with Rhea Ripley backstage. After his loss to Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, Mami once again confronted him, fueling speculation that he might join the heel stable in the near future.
As Survivor Series approaches, rumors have circulated that The Scottish Warrior could become the fifth member of The Judgment Day and JD McDonagh’s team in the WarGames match. There are also speculations of Randy Orton’s return to align with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn.
